What SnapView provides
SnapView provides free browser-based utilities for inspecting and processing image and video files. All processing happens within your own browser on your own device. We do not receive, host, store or transmit any file you use with these tools.
No account is required and no payment is taken. The site is supported by advertising.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the files you process and for how you use the results. In particular, you agree not to use this site to:
- Process content you do not have the legal right to possess or modify
- Remove metadata in order to conceal evidence, mislead a court, or defeat a lawful investigation
- Infringe the copyright, trademark or other rights of any person
- Harass, stalk, impersonate or invade the privacy of any person
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the site or its infrastructure
A note on the EXIF remover. Stripping metadata is a legitimate privacy measure, and for most people that is exactly what it is for — removing your home coordinates from a photo before posting it.
It is not a tool for altering evidence or misrepresenting the origin of an image. Using it that way may be unlawful where you live, and is your responsibility alone.
Intellectual property
The SnapView name, design, site content and tool implementations are owned by us and protected by applicable law. You may use the tools freely for personal and commercial work, and anything you produce with them is entirely yours — we claim no rights whatsoever over your files or your output.
You may not copy, redistribute or resell the site itself or its underlying code without permission.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Browsers vary in what formats and features they support, and results may differ between devices.
We make no guarantee of uptime, availability, accuracy, completeness or fitness for any particular purpose. Calculations and measurements provided by the tools are estimates intended as guidance, not as certified values.
Keep your originals
Always retain a copy of any original file before processing it. Because everything happens locally, we have no copy of your work and cannot recover anything for you. Compression and format conversion are lossy operations and cannot be undone.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SnapView is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of this site, including any loss of or damage to files, loss of data, or loss of profits.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Advertising and external links
This site displays advertising and may link to external websites we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, practices or privacy policies of any external site or advertiser, and a link or advertisement does not constitute endorsement.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend or remove tools at any time without notice. We may also restrict or terminate access where we believe the site is being misused.
Governing terms
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
