Plain language about what these tools do, what they do not do, and where our responsibility ends.

Some tools reference platform specifications — for example, the safe zone guides and the resizer presets. These references are descriptive only, for the purpose of helping you prepare content. All product names, logos and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
We do not receive or store your files
All processing happens in your browser. We have no copy of anything you open here, at any stage. This means we cannot recover a file for you, cannot inspect one to help you debug a problem, and have nothing to disclose to anyone who might ask.
Results are estimates, not certified measurements
The calculators and inspectors provide guidance based on the information your browser can read from a file, and on standard formulas.
- File size estimates are calculated from bitrate and duration. Real encoder output varies with content complexity, encoder settings and container overhead.
- Bitrate readings are averages derived from file size and duration, not per-segment analysis.
- Safe zone guides are approximations. Platform interfaces change between app versions and differ by device and region. Treat them as a sensible margin, not an exact specification.
- EXIF readings cover common tags. Absence of a field does not prove the data was never there — it may simply be stored in a proprietary format we do not parse.
Keep your originals. Compression and format conversion are lossy and cannot be reversed. Always work on a copy.
Because nothing is uploaded, we hold no backup and cannot restore anything for you.
On metadata removal
The EXIF remover produces a clean copy by re-encoding your image, which discards metadata including GPS coordinates. This is an effective privacy measure and is what most people need it for.
It is not a forensic guarantee. We cannot promise that no trace of any kind remains in every possible file, nor that a platform you later upload to will not add its own metadata. If you have a high-stakes need — legal, journalistic or safety-critical — seek specialist advice rather than relying on any free web tool, including this one.
Not professional advice
Nothing on this site constitutes legal, technical, security or professional advice. The guidance in our articles and tool pages is general information. Your circumstances may differ, and you should consult a qualified professional where the stakes warrant it.
Browser compatibility
These tools depend on features provided by your browser. Support for formats such as WebP and AVIF varies by browser and version, and some file types — including HEIC and camera RAW — cannot be decoded by browsers at all. Where something is unsupported, the tool will tell you rather than fail silently.
