This policy explains what SnapView does and does not collect when you use this website. It is written to be read rather than to be legally impenetrable.

Your files are never transmitted

This is the most important point, so it comes first. Every tool on this site processes files entirely within your browser, using the File API and the HTML canvas element. Your file is read from your own storage, processed by your own device, and returned to you.

At no point is the file uploaded, streamed, copied or transmitted to us or to anyone else. We do not receive it, so we cannot store it, analyse it, share it, sell it, or be compelled to hand it over.

What we do not collect

• No file content. Nothing you process here reaches our servers.
• No file metadata. Filenames, dimensions, EXIF data and GPS coordinates are read and displayed by your browser only. We never see them.
• No account data. There is no sign-up, so we hold no names, email addresses or passwords.
• No usage history. We do not build a record of what any individual has processed.
• No sale of data. We do not sell, rent or trade information to third parties.

What is processed

Standard server logs

Like any website, our host records ordinary request information when you load a page: IP address, browser type and version, referring page, and timestamp. This is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults. It is retained for a short operational period and then deleted.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are visited, which tools are used, roughly where visitors come from. This is reported in aggregate and is not used to identify individuals. It measures page visits, never file contents.

Advertising

This site carries advertising. Advertising partners may set cookies and use device identifiers to measure performance and limit how often the same advertisement is shown. This is governed by their own privacy policies, and they have no access to anything you process in a tool.

We do not use pop-ups, pop-unders, interstitials or redirect chains.

Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies for security and basic site function. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.

Advertising and analytics partners may set additional cookies. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings; the tools will continue to work normally if you do, because they do not depend on cookies at all.

Local storage on your device

The tools do not write your files or your settings to browser storage. Temporary object URLs are created while a file is being processed and are released afterwards. Nothing persists once you close the tab.

Children

SnapView is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the UK and EU, and the CCPA in California — you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing.

Because we deliberately hold so little, in most cases there is no personal data associated with you to retrieve or erase. Where there is, we will act on a verified request within the period your local law requires.

Data retention

Server logs are kept for a short operational period and then deleted. Aggregate analytics are retained in non-identifying form. There is no file data to retain.

Third parties

We rely on a hosting provider, a content delivery and security provider, an analytics provider and advertising partners. These process ordinary request data on our behalf under their own terms. None of them receives your files, because your files are never sent anywhere.

International transfers

Our infrastructure and service providers may process request data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
